This workshop is designed to introduce the benefits of incorporating mindfulness techniques in your parenting. We’ll “drop in” and explore how we parent. Are we present? What do we find most challenging? How can we tweak our approach to make stressful moments in the day feel smoother? Our children uplift us in many ways, but sometimes we leave interactions with them feeling upset, hurt, angry, defensive, guilty – the list goes on. You will be encouraged to hear that with some commitment, accountability and practice we can make small shifts in our parenting that make huge leaps in our relationships with our children. Take away some confidence in your parenting; techniques to reduce stress personally and in the home; and skills for increasing your own and your child’s capacity for communicating with compassion and kindness.
